: - Location is good (if you are looking to stay in De Waterkant) - Apartment is safe - Kitchen was stocked with a variety of supplies - pictures match the stay.
: - CAREFUL! They dont tell you on Booking.com but once youve booked (your non-refundable stay) THEY WANT A R10 000 (partially refundable) DEPOSIT or else a non-refundable R750 fee - THIS IS EXTERNAL TO BOOKING.COM. We booking last minute, so we had to pay it due to having no other place to stay but they really just spring it on to you and expect you to pay it over and above what you are already paying. - Theres so many minor mishaps with the apartment that are just careless - for example, the guest bathroom had a body wash and shampoo but the shampoo was in the body and body wash was in the shampoo bottle (figured this out on our last night of the stay). I guess it makes sense when the house keeper comes at 4/5pm to ask if she is needed.- MAKE SURE YOU ORGANIZE CHECK IN, just another thing they dont tell you. We waited 25 minutes for somebody to come give us keys to check-in. We organized early check-in - I even changed my date of surgery as they claimed early check in was unavailable and check in was at 2. So low and beheld, when arriving at 2:00pm it was a shock that not even the house keeper was there (assuming they said we couldnt check in early due to a previous stay and cleaning). We waited for 30 minutes. Thankfully, the gentleman did pay for our parking as we had parked in the street and waited in the madness of the heat of the day. And dont expect them to be a single minute late when checking out. - just small stuff which isnt too changeable but just to take note of, if youre very tall, the guest room is two small single beds - I personally couldnt fit on them. There is no main central air conditioning (only in the rooms) so it can get quite hot. There is noise till late at night (but thats the vibe of the suburb) and Wi-Fi is super slow.
